19 Aug: This year’s Saturday in Design saw a great selection of diverse collaborative works, brought together for the Project 2009. The Project stands out as one of the most memorable parts of the Saturday in Design weekend, instilling the combined creative offerings of the architecture and design community. 24 July: Head to KE-ZU and Core Furniture/Light2 for some designer food at Saturday in Design. Ten designers are coming together in this design extravaganza, sure to be a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds, with each company creating designs for sushi that will be made by chefs from the Ivy’s acclaimed Sushi Choo restaurant.

Weekly project meetings have been taking place in planning for this culinary design event at Saturday in Design. From 12–2pm you can taste the delights designed and created by 10 of Sydney’s most inspirational designers and fabulous sushi chefs. Click here to read more.

24 July: If seeing the latest designer products at Saturday in Design isn’t enough, you’ll also have the chance to take some of them home as a visitor. Showrooms throughout Sydney’s design precincts are offering a range of prizes from rugs to chairs, tableware, designer stilettos, a Swedish bicycle, and even a stay in an international design hotel!

As you wander through the precincts, keep an eye out for opportunities to enter prize draws. Many showrooms are working together to entice visitors to linger in their area, and with a range of design products on offer, they are extremely tempting.

Get around to as many showrooms as you can and enter all the draws – you might get lucky ones and take a little piece of design home with you!
